List Campaigns

List campaigns will allow you to DM custom lists of Reddit users.

DM Lists let you build curated lists of Reddit usernames and send personalised DMs to everyone on them, straight from the Redreach extension. It's the right tool when you already know who you want to reach (a CSV from another tool, a handful of warm prospects, a hand-picked group of upvoters) instead of scanning a thread or subreddit.

How it works in 30 seconds

  1. You build a list of Reddit usernames in the Redreach dashboard.
  1. In the Redreach extension you pick a List Campaign, choose that list, write your DM template, and hit Start.
  1. The extension messages each user one at a time, respecting your daily DM limit.

Lists live in your project (Redreach dashboard → CRM → DM Lists). The extension reads them live, so anything you add in the dashboard is available in the extension straight away.

Three ways to add users to a list

1. Bulk import in the dashboard

Best when you already have a spreadsheet or text file of usernames.

  1. Open the Redreach dashboard and go to CRM → DM Lists.
  1. Click + New list, give it a name, and click Create.
  1. The Import window opens automatically. Either:
      • Paste usernames into the text area. One per line, or comma-separated. Both u/spez and https://reddit.com/user/spez are accepted.
      • Upload a CSV by clicking the upload area. The first column is treated as the username. A header row like username is detected and skipped.
  1. Click Import.

You'll see a summary like "12 added, 3 skipped, 1 invalid". Skipped users are people who are already a lead in your project, so they're not added again.

2. Click the + next to any username in the dashboard

Best for adding people one at a time while you're already reviewing posts in Redreach.

In the dashboard inbox, every username (post author and comment authors) has a small + icon next to it.

  • Click it to open a small popover with your lists.
  • Click a list to add the user instantly.
  • The list they're already in turns green with a check. Clicking that row again removes them.
  • If they're already in another list, you'll see a friendly "Move to <this list>" prompt so the move is intentional.

3. Click the + next to any username in the extension on Reddit

Best when you're already browsing Reddit and want to add someone without switching tabs.

The Redreach extension injects the same small + icon next to usernames on Reddit posts, comments, and profile pages. Same popover, same behaviour, same lists.

If you don't see the + icon, open the Redreach sidebar on the right edge of the page to check the extension is installed and signed in.

Managing your lists

Open CRM → DM Lists in the dashboard to see every list at a glance. Each list card shows the name, the number of users, and two actions:

  • Import opens the import window again so you can add more users.
  • View opens the members list, showing every user with their current status (Prospect, DM sent, Interested, Won, and so on).

Inside the View modal you can:

  • Move a user to another list. Hover any row to reveal the move icon. Pick a destination list and they're reassigned instantly.
  • Remove a user from this list. Hover any row to reveal the remove icon. Two clicks confirm. The user's lead record stays in your CRM, they're just no longer grouped in this list.

What happens when I delete a list?

We clean up intelligently:

  • Users who have never been messaged are removed along with the list. Their slots are freed so you can re-import the same usernames into a new list later.
  • Users who have been DMed (or progressed further in your funnel) stay in your CRM. The list just disappears from around them. They're still visible in the Leads tab and can be added to a new list whenever you want.

So a fresh, throwaway test list cleans itself up, while an old list of real prospects or customers won't take your hard-won history with it.

DM Lists vs the Leads tab

Two tabs sit under CRM with a clean split of responsibilities:

  • DM Lists shows the users waiting to be contacted, grouped by list.
  • Leads shows the users you've already messaged, tracked through their entire funnel.

As soon as the extension sends a DM to someone on a list, they move from the DM Lists view into the Leads view. List membership and the funnel status are independent, so users can sit in a list while moving through your funnel.

Re-engaging a user you've already messaged

We deliberately prevent the extension from sending two DMs to the same person. If you genuinely want to message someone again, the steps are:

  1. Open them in the Leads tab.
  1. Reset their status back to Prospect.
  1. Add them to a list as usual.

The next campaign run will pick them up. The extra step is on purpose, so a repeat outreach is always a conscious decision.

Why are some users marked "unreachable"?

When the extension tries to DM someone and can't, it marks them as Unreachable instead of leaving them in the active pool. This stops the campaign from burning your daily DM quota on people who can't receive a message anyway.

Reasons we'll show next to each unreachable user:

  • Banned: the Reddit account has been banned.
  • Suspended: the account is currently suspended.
  • DMs disabled: the user has turned off direct messages from people they don't follow.
  • Username not found: the username doesn't exist (typo or deleted account).

In the extension's list view, you'll see a small "N unreachable (hidden)" line under any list that has some. Click it to expand the names and reasons.

Troubleshooting

My imported users don't show up in the list. Check the import summary. If it says "N skipped", those usernames are already a lead somewhere in your project (likely in another list, or already messaged via a previous campaign). Search for them in the Leads tab.

The extension says "0 of N leads selected" even though I just imported. The extension only messages users whose status is still Prospect. If all users on the list have already been DMed in a previous run, there's nothing left to send to. Either add new users or reset previously-contacted ones back to Prospect.

I can't see the DM Lists tab in the dashboard. It's gated to specific accounts during the rollout. If you should have access and don't, reach out to support.
